Vet Voice Foundation Urges New Congress to Pass Permanent LWCF Authorization

As the new Congress convenes, in Washington, today, the Vet Voice Foundation is urging the legislative branch to consider permanent reauthorization for the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF).  Garett Reppenhagen, Rocky Mountain Director for Vet Voice said:

“Perhaps no measure is more important to the conservation of natural resources than permanent reauthorization of the Land and Water Conservation Fund.  At the end of 2018, the Republican Majority in the Senate pledged that this would be a top priority. There is no reason it cannot be passed in the first 100 days of the new Congress. 

Veterans rely on the lands protected by LWCF to heal and reconnect with their families. The preservation of our historic battlefields – our very heritage – depends on the fund. Permanently reauthorizing LWCF with full, dedicated funding would send a bipartisan message to all Americans that the 116th Congress cares about veterans.”
