Vet Voice Foundation Statement Following House Passage of The Great American Outdoors Act

The Vet Voice Foundation’s Will Goodwin, a US Army veteran, released the following statement today:

“This is a great day for veterans, for military families — for all Americans.

“Our involvement in this campaign should come as no surprise. Whether Earl Shaffer, a WWII veteran and the first person to thru-hike the Appalachian Trail or President Teddy Roosevelt, Medal of Honor recipient and unwavering conservationist, veterans have a long-standing relationship with our nation’s public lands and the outdoors.

“We are grateful to Speaker Pelosi and the other public lands champions who helped get this across the finish line — working alongside us and our allies for many years to get us to this point.

“Next up: President Trump. We ask that the president sign this legislation as soon as it arrives at his desk.”
