Vet Voice Foundation Statement on William Pendley’s Removal from the Bureau of Land Management

WASHINGTON D.C.—Will Goodwin, Army Veteran and Director of Government Relations for the Vet Voice Foundation, released the following statement in the wake of the announcement that William Pendley was being removed as Acting Director of the Bureau of Land Management:

“William Pendley is an anti-public lands zealot, a racist, and wholly unfit to serve in government. In response to the news that he’s being removed from his post, we say good riddance.

“Veterans have long-turned to our nation’s public lands — as places for reunion, reflection, and healing. This is why we’ve worked tirelessly in recent years to bring the voices of veterans to the fights
over public lands, most recently the successful passage of the Great American Outdoors Act.

“Our work continues. There’s a lot more to do. There are still bad actors who seek to sell-off our public lands. But tonight, we rest a little easier knowing that William Pendley is out of a job.
