VVF Statement on Bipartisan Legislation to Guarantee LWCF Full Annual Funding

“The Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) is the most effective tool for protecting America’s public lands. We thank Rep. Van Drew, Chairman Grijalva, and the bipartisan cosponsors of this legislation to guarantee LWCF full annual funding at $900 million. America’s public lands are vital for countless veterans and military families members many of whom turn to our nations outdoors as they transition back to civilian life. 

There is still more work to be done, and it is imperative that members from both chambers of Congress work together to see this legislation passed. The sooner we can put this money to work supporting real projects in communities across America, the better off our nation and her veterans will be.”
