Washington, D.C. — Today the Biden administration announced the nomination of Laura Daniel-Davis to be Assistant Secretary – Land and Minerals Management, Department of the Interior. In reaction to the nomination, Vet Voice Foundation’s Mary Kaszynski released the following statement:
“Since taking office, President Biden has consistently delivered on his commitments to safeguarding our nation’s treasured public lands. Today’s nomination of Laura Daniel-Davis is no exception.
“From her time as chief of staff to both Interior Secretaries Jewell and Salazar to serving as chief of policy for the National Wildlife Federation, Ms Daniel-Davis will bring decades of experience and a wealth of knowledge to her new role. She should be confirmed as soon as possible.
“We look forward to continuing to work with President Biden, Secretary Haaland, and soon-to-be-Assistant Secretary Daniel-Davis to amplify the voices of veterans and military families in policy debates, particularly those related to environmental conservation and stewardship.
“The Vet Voice Foundation will do our part to conserve and protect our nation’s public lands, ensuring they’re around to provide to the veterans and military families of tomorrow what they’ve provided for the veterans and military families of today and yesteryear — places of reunion and reflection.”
