In reaction, Vet Voice Foundation CEO Janessa Goldbeck released the following statement:
“We applaud the Committee for advancing Laura Daniel-Davis’s nomination today and the full Senate should confirm her as soon as possible.
“From her time as chief of staff to both Interior Secretaries Jewell and Salazar to serving as chief of policy for the National Wildlife Federation, she will bring decades of experience and a wealth of knowledge to her new role.
“We look forward to continuing to work with President Biden, Secretary Haaland, and soon-to-be-Assistant Secretary Daniel-Davis to amplify the voices of veterans and military families in policy debates, particularly those related to environmental conservation and stewardship.“We will continue to do our part to conserve and protect our nation’s public lands, ensuring they’re around to provide to the veterans and military families of tomorrow what they’ve provided for the veterans and military families of today and yesteryear — places of reunion and reflection.”
