VVF Statement on the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee’s Vote on the Nomination of Laura Daniel-Davis

Washington, D.C. — Today the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee voted to advance the nomination of Laura Daniel-Davis to be Assistant Secretary – Land and Minerals Management, Department of the Interior, to the full Senate. In reaction, Vet Voice Foundation CEO Janessa Goldbeck released the following statement:

“We applaud the Committee for advancing Laura Daniel-Davis’s nomination today and the full Senate should confirm her as soon as possible.

“From her time as chief of staff to both Interior Secretaries Jewell and Salazar to serving as chief of policy for the National Wildlife Federation, she will bring decades of experience and a wealth of knowledge to her new role.
