National Public Lands Day
Take Action!
Celebrate the places that connect us! Our public lands are more than just parks and trails—they’re our shared backyard, where we hike, gather, and play. They’re part of our daily lives.
Join us to celebrate and care for the public lands we all share.
Celebrate the places that belong to us all! On the fourth Saturday in September, we honor our shared outdoor spaces with National Public Lands Day (NPLD). It’s the biggest single-day volunteer event for public lands, but it’s also a “Fee-Free Day,” meaning entrance fees are waived at national parks and other public lands nationwide.
From national parks and wildlife refuges to local city parks and trails, our public lands are open to everyone. Let’s celebrate them together!
