VVF Statement on the Re-Nomination of Laura Daniel-Davis
Washington, D.C. — Today President Biden re-nominated Laura Daniel-Davis to be Assistant Secretary – Land and Minerals Management, Department of the Interior. In reaction, Vet Voice Foundation CEO Janessa Goldbeck released the following statement:
“We applaud the president for re-nominating Laura Daniel-Davis. The Senate should confirm her as soon as possible because she’s the absolute best person for the job.
“From her time as chief of staff to both Interior Secretaries Jewell and Salazar to serving as chief of policy for the National Wildlife Federation, she will bring decades of experience and a wealth of knowledge to her new role.
“We look forward to continuing to work with President Biden, Secretary Haaland, and soon-to-be-Assistant Secretary Daniel-Davis to amplify the voices of veterans and military families in policy debates, particularly those related to environmental conservation and stewardship.
“We will continue to do our part to conserve and protect our nation’s public lands, ensuring they are around to provide veterans and military families places of reunion and reflection as they have for generations.”
